Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you to a symposium of the German academy of science,
the Leopoldina on
The complexity connecting biomolecular structure and solvation dynamics
which will be held in May 2010 at the Ruhr University Bochum.
Biomolecules travel between different poses across a complex shape-shifting
energy landscape. Advanced biomolecule spectroscopic techniques have been
developed which can probe these motions and molecular dynamics and molecular
dynamics simulations are now able to simulate these. At this
interdisciplinary conference we will cover distinct experimental techniques
on protein dynamics, dynamical theory and water dynamics. The conference
aims to develop new concepts, which will help us to understand biomolecule
dynamics on a solvent dependent, fluctuating energy landscape.
Confirmed Speakers include:
Thorsten Fiebig (Boston)
Hans Frauenfelder (Los Alamos )
Helmut Grubmüller (Göttingen)
Mikio Kataoka (Nara)
Thomas Kiefhaber (München)
Hiroshi Kihara (Osaka)
Andrea Markelz (Bualo)
David Leitner (Reno)
