Managing the library and archive environment
Preservation Advisory Centre training day
Wednesday, 3 March 2010
British Library Centre for Conservation, 96 Euston Road, London NW1 2DB
This one-day course is aimed at librarians and archivists. It builds an
understanding of the effect that a poor environment has on collections and
demonstrates how to monitor and control storage environments.
Highly practical, and taking a pragmatic approach to managing the
environment, delegates will come away with knowledge to set and monitor
targets for their collections as well as understanding of how to interpret and
communicate environmental data. The course is led by Jane Henderson, a well-
known expert and training from Cardiff University’s Department of History and
Archaeology, with demonstrations of equipment by Chris Michael, Meaco.
