Study coordinator position for pharmaco-fMRI project available immediately at the University of Michigan, Psychiatry Affective Neuroimaging Laboratory. This person in this position will have responsibility for the recruitment and coordination of an NIMH-funded research study. The appropriate candidate will learn the basics of a clinical translational research project in affective neuroscience, but some prior experience in this area is required. The person will work closely with clinical staff to identify and recruit potential participants for studies, run fMRI scans, and maintain behavioral and imaging files. Job responsibilities will also include clinical assessment, including diagnostic interviews (Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV), and completing IRB amendments/renewal applications. Clinical experience with psychiatric populations is highly desirable (MSW-level or equivalent), including good interpersonal skills and flexibility for work in diverse settings. Basic computer skills - word processing, internet searches, spread sheets, elementary statistics are required, and familiarity with higher level programming/scripting languages (MATlab, ePrime) would be a plus. Opportunities to learn fMRI analysis and data interpretation for the highly motivated candidate will be offered.
