Hi all,
I have been trying to get coot 0.6.1 to run on my RHEL 4 machines with no luck.
(I have also tried using a RHEL 5 machine with similiar results)
This is an i386 RHEL 4 machine running the CentOS-4 i386 pre-built binary:
It displays the splash screen then disappears & errors:
Reading coordinate file: ./coot-Linux-i386-centos-4-gtk2/share/coot/standard-residues.pdb
PDB file ./coot-Linux-i386-centos-4-gtk2/share/coot/standard-residues.pdb has been read.

platform:
/bin/uname

And GDB gives me this:

Core was generated by `./coot-Linux-i386-centos-4-gtk2/bin/coot-real'.

I try to use the x86_64 RHEL 4 release on my x86_64 RHEL 4 machine & get this (after the splash screen appears & disappears):
