Paul Verlaine: A recital of poetry and music
The Department of French and the School of Music at the University of
Leeds present a recital of poems by Paul Verlaine, together with song
settings by composers including Debussy, Fauré, Ireland and Walton
Readings in French by Catherine Kaiserman (Department of French)
Readings of new English translations by John R.G.Turner (Institute of
Integrative and Comparative Biology), winner of the 2009 BCLT John
Dryden Prize for Literary Translation
Settings for voice and piano performed by students from the School of
Music, accompanied by Daniel Gordon
