Dear Keren
Further to note from John Hennock - possible solution from Jon Abel a member
our install team:
"I am a member of the telecare installation team for Wealden and Eastbourne
Lifeline and last year devised a solution an MS sufferer in Hastings whose
movements were restricted to her only being able to move her arms.
We installed some large (15cm diameter) buttons which are normally used for
early years child development linked to radio tranmitters which would active a
Tunstall life line unit when pressed. This enabled our client to easily hit the
button and summon help for her or her partner/carer. These buttons can be
found on the site www.techready.co.uk search for Big Red Switch.
We arrived at this solution firstly, by a visit from our telecare profiler and
furthur visits by myself to demonstrate the proposed equipment, to establish if
it was suitable for our client."
Obviously this soultion may not be suitable in the situation you describe, so a
visit by a member of our team may be required to assess her needs.
Hope this is of some help. Please contact me by email if you have any furthur
questions or contact my coordinator Joy Message on 01323 636383."
Regards
Mark Bannister
