Taking on this unique and specialised role, you will input to the design of
pharmacoepidemiology studies, manage and analyse datasets for such studies
derived from large primary care databases. Other important aspects of the role
are the critical assessment of statistical analyses/epidemiological studies in
safety issues, furthering the use and understanding of pharmacoepidemiology
tools and available data and working with colleagues in multidisciplinary
assessment teams of pharmacists, scientists and medical doctors.
You’ll also help evaluate the impact of regulatory action, ensure data is
efficiently managed and analyse drug exposure data for safety signal
assessments.
Along with a degree or post-graduate qualification in statistics or
epidemiology, you’ll be analytically minded and bring experience of medical
statistics/pharmacoepidemiology work. This will be matched with a proven
understanding of the technical and practical aspects of observational studies.
The ability to work in a demanding environment, communicate effectively with
a broad range of stakeholders and influence senior level decision-making will
also be highly valued.
