Unit in Hearing. This is a part-time post that could be combined with a Medical
Statistician post which is based at the Nottingham base of the RDS for the

Salary : £27,319 to £35,646 per annum, pro rata, depending upon
qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £38,951 per annum, pro
rata, subject to performance)
School of Clinical Sciences – In association with the National Biomedical
Research Unit in Hearing.
Applications are invited for the above post in the National Biomedical Research
Unit in Hearing (NBRUH) working with a small team of scientists, from a variety
of academic and clinical backgrounds, to design, develop, analyse and
disseminate translational research proposals in the areas of hearing and
learning.
Hours of work are 21¾ per week (3 days per week to be agreed). This post
will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2012 (In April 2012, if
NBRUH funding is continued, this role will continue. If in 2012, NBRUH funding is
not renewed, and the person appointed is fulfilling both roles, the post would
become full-time in the RDS until 31 March 2015).
Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in a subject relevant
to health services research (e.g. statistics, epidemiology) and a higher degree
in medical, applied or social statistics (or equivalent).
