Hello David
It all depends. As we pay two instalments we may just cancel the second
instalment if they have already received what would be due or more than
they are due. Otherwise, yes we write it off rather than try to claim it
back from the student. Surprisingly this doesn't add up to too much money
considering the grand total of money we pay out for bursaries.

Given the number of reassessments that take place I am curious as to
what you do when a student is reassessed and so comes out with a lower
bursary award. We only pay on evidence verified for this reason.Do you
try and reclaim the money back or simply write it off.
