We've recently had a situation with a lecturer (not in my School) and his PhD students requesting very large (though not 10,000!) numbers of ILL's. Subsequent investigation revealed their plan was to use NVivo software to do the analysis of the articles. They are being quite cagey about it and we can't get much more information out of them. Has anyone else come across this use of NVivo - we'd like to know more?
But I'd agree with Zena that requesting that number of articles is likely to break at least one of the terms of the license or the law.

I would think this would be illegal, & break the terms of usage.
What on earth is he intending to do with ten thousand references???

I wonder if anyone can help?
One of our users is trying to use the databases at www.library.nhs.uk and wants to export a large number of references into Endnote - over 10,000. He's not able to do it using these databases and I've suggested he contact NHS Evidence to check if it is possible, (and it's not just a glitch) but I was also wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to do it through the Ovid native interface? I can't test it as we don't have access to Endnote or similar.
Thanks
Iona
