Well, speaking of tools and awareness:-) I'm glad I decided to give my iPhone's autocorrect options a chance. Now, I'm waiting for it to be added to my regular Mac.. I enjoy having my words typed *for* me when I'm half way in. For different European languages, you change the keyboard (not that much actually has to change) and different spelling dictionaries will be used.
Anyway, I would guess that he was saying that "few are able to be involved when proposals to design databases are made. Everything is still done behind closed doors"
I think that depends on what one means by 'everything'. I do agree that there are, and have been, some lame database implementations out there.
