CLSIG AGM and Negotiating contracts and firmwide licences seminar, Tuesday
23 March 2010
The Commercial Legal and Scientific Group (CLSIG) welcomes you to their
combined AGM and seminar on Negotiating contracts and firmwide licences.
The seminar provides a general overview of best practice in a negotiation
presented in the format of a timeline. This will be followed by drinks and
nibbles during which time there is the opportunity to have a five minute
'speed solution' session with the presenter about a specific negotiation
issue or example that you have had.
About the speaker
Fiona Fogden is the National Information Services Manager for Baker Tilly, a
major firm of Accountants. From 1996 to 6th June 2008 she was Manager of the
Library & Information Centre at Baker & McKenzie, a City Law Firm where she
was known as Fiona Durrant. Before that Fiona was at the Royal Institution
of Chartered Surveyors. Fiona wrote an article on Negotiating Online
Contracts for Legal Information Management, April 2003 and has held a
webcast with the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians on the
topic in July 2003. In 2006 Facet Publishing published her book: Negotiating
Licences for Digital Resources, using the name Fiona Durrant. Her half-day
workshops run in conjunction with Aslib on Negotiating Online Subscriptions
remain popular.
Doors open at 6pm, the event will run 6.30 - 8.30pm. The AGM is free, for
