The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm Sweden, is seeking
applicants for a tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor,
effective Fall 2010. The subject area is in Intelligent Transportation
Systems, and application of information and communication technologies
towards more efficient and sustainable transportation systems operations.
Applicants must have an earned PhD degree in an appropriate field and
background and research interests in a related area including transportation
systems, modeling, computer science, simulation. Responsibilities include
the development of a vigorous interdisciplinary research program and
contributing to the educational activities of the school.
The new professor will benefit from recent initiatives such as the
establishment of an ITS lab with real time feeds of GPS-based traffic data
and strategic research funding in the transport area (TRENoP). The position
comes with a generous start-up package.
