Dear Colleagues,
The London School of Economics, Institute of Social Psychology Graduate Conference committee is delighted to announce the call for abstracts for the 11th annual meeting to be held May 21st and 22nd 2010, in London, UK. The theme for this year's meeting is:
"Observing, promoting and resisting social change: Perspectives from the Social Sciences"
Key-notes and paper presentations from graduate students will be dedicated to exploring the ways in which individuals and communities experience, react to, support, or resist social change in all instances of everyday life and human interaction. This generous topic invites both theoretical and practical contributions, capable of providing us valuable insight into the mechanisms of transformation and innovation in today's society.
This theme expresses a core preoccupation of social scientists, and will allow an exploration of how social and psychological variables can contribute to the understanding and explanation of pressing contemporary social problems.
We invite contributions to one of the following streams for presentations or symposia:
* Health and Development
* Social and Cultural Psychology
* Organisational Psychology
* Social Cognition
* Communication and the Public Sphere
* Developmental Social Psychology
Symposia should be submitted with a joint abstract (250 words), followed by a brief description of each individual presentation (150 words). All individual abstracts should not exceed 250 words.
