Hi Anne
Thanks again for this.
It seems like the NMC are clearly uneasy about our Specialist role. Do they not realise that by definition, they are de-specialisting a specialist role by giving practice nurses yet another hat to wear. On top of this, it very much seems to me that the NMC perceives nurse education to be the main provider of specialist nurses (as opposed to the way we develop inital training to reading countless journals and continued networking).
Its like Miriam learning to become a Cardiologist after 2 extra years from a part time University Course.
Its astounding! only the NMC eh?
have a great day
andy
