Thank you for this. I have an Elizabeth Sargent of Liskeard (widow) recorded
as mine proprietor in 1851. Husband appears to have been William (clerk to
attorney in 1841). I am trying to find out if she was another Cornish
mid-19th century female mine/clay works manager (usually by inheriting
husbands business interests). As she was widowed by 1851, this William
Serjeant is unlikely to be a son, but possibly a member of the wider family.
