University of St Andrews
Rare Books Cataloguer (2 years fixed term)
£24,152-£28,839 per annum
The Department of Special Collections in the University Library has a
vacancy for a highly motivated and well-organized cataloguer to work on
our exceptional rare book collections for a fixed term of two years.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the University
Library's key strategic priorities, making our Special Collections more
widely known and accessible to the national and international research
community. You will be cataloguing two specific areas of our rare book
collections: British imprints dating from 1500 to 1641, and eighteenth-
and nineteenth-century items which relate to geography, cartography,
anthropology and folklore.
Informal enquiries are welcomed by Elizabeth Henderson, Rare Books
Librarian, email: [log in to unmask]
Further particulars and an application form can be downloaded at
http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/employment/Code,46241,en.html
The closing date for applications is 15 February 2010.
