*Disability Awareness*
The East of England Division of the Career and Development Group is
organising a one-day course, 'Disability Awareness', in Cambridge on
Thursday 25^th February 2010 10am-3.15pm at the Morison Room,
Cambridge University Library.
The aim of this event is to provide an understanding and awareness of
the difficulties that some users encounter when trying to access
library/information services.
The programme will cover a variety of different topics from meeting
the needs of the disabled user to providing practical suggestions.
There will also be an opportunity for discussion and the sharing of
best practices.
The objectives of the event are:
* To develop an awareness of disability issues in the
library/information context
* To develop skills in enabling disabled people to maximize their
use of the library/information service
* To share best practice in approaches to inclusively
The Career development Group has been awarded the CILIP Seal of
Recognition

All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.

*CDG Members*: £ 25 + VAT = £29.38
*Non-CDG Members*: £ 30 + VAT = 35.25
*Students and unwaged*: £15 + VAT = £17.63
