LIRG is offering a brand new Research Scan Award for 2010.
Since proving the value of library services could be
crucial this year, our AGM/Conference in July (date to be determined)
will focus on valuing library services in all sectors. The Research
Scan Award is for £500 and its aim is to produce a summary of research
on methods for demonstrating the value of public libraries in the UK.
If you are a UK-based researcher or practitioner then consider applying
for the Research Scan Award. It involves summarising work on
demonstrating the value of public libraries, presenting a workshop
on the draft summary at our AGM/Conference and then writing up
the results for publication in our online, open access journal,
Library and Information Research.
