Guy,
There's a useful blog post (JIBS User Group) at
http://jibsnews.blogspot.com/2009/04/database-accessibility-issues.html
It points to the OU's work on Database Accessibility Issues:
http://library.open.ac.uk/help/access/index.cfm?id=7007
Also see the links and more general work on Accessibility issues for
library and learning resources personnel
http://www.techdis.ac.uk/index.php?p=6_8 from JISC TechDis. CERLIM have
also done research in this area: http://www.cerlim.ac.uk/
The growing interest in mobile access to e-resources (there was
discussion on the topic on LIS-E-RESOURCES in December 2009) should also
prove beneficial for visually impaired users.
I would also be interested to hear of any anecdotes concerning student
use - perhaps you could summarise for the list?
Best wishes,

Subject: VI students using online libraries
Has anyone on the group ever had a visually impaired student trying to
use online libraries like myilibrary, ebrary or ebooklib etc? If so, how
did it go?
