Hi
Salford University libraries are looking at our public access schemes to
see if we can develop the services we offer to members of the public
further. I'd be very grateful if any universities that run these types
of schemes could give me an idea of what they offer. For example:
Do you offer reference-only services?
Can members of the public borrow books?
Can they access e-journals/databases and, if so, is their access to
titles limited?
Do they access e-resources via dedicated PCs and how is this access
managed?
Do you offer any support or help with accessing information, e.g.
enquiry desk support?
Any information will be very welcome. I'll collate any information that
is sent and I'll happily share this with anyone who replies or is
interested in the subject.
Many thanks
