Dear Colleagues
We are looking at moving from SED to FileOpen for our electronic document
delivery from the British Library.
Reports so far suggest it is a superior product and overcomes the
limitations of using Adobe Digital editions.
As our documents are delivered directly to end users, lots using shared pcs,
FileOpen would have to be rolled out across campus by our IT department.
I don't yet know if they would be prepared to do this so would be very
grateful to hear from any other institutions who have gone down this route.
Has it been successful, what are the pitfalls, what are the advantages, is
it stable, etc?
Many thanks in advance for any information you have.
Regards
Margaret Dillon
