Dear all
I realise it is a touch opportunist to use this facility to enquiry about teaching vacancies, but, as they say - nothing ventured, nothing gained!
I'm an immensely enthusiastic and competent newly qualified EFL/ESOL teacher - having completed my CELTA and PTTLS (Preparing to Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector) in December with a grade B. Although, I'm currently based at Aston University (in a non academic capacity), I'm due to relocate to Lancashire (Lytham St Annes, near Blackpool) at the end of April and am eager to embark on a teaching career in HE or FE. I have a car so am happy to take on a reasonable commute.
I'm ideally looking for a full-time position - general English, EAP, Business English or any other English for a Specific Purpose - although would be keen to explore part-time and casual opportunities too.
My key attributes include:
• 6 hours teaching experience, 3 hours observation from CELTA
• Overseas voluntary teaching experience
• Current voluntary teaching for Refugee Council in Birmingham
• Ability to deliver engaging, varied and thorough English language lessons.
• Natural rapport with learners of all ages
• Good classroom management skills
• Extremely hard-working and creative with exceptionally thorough planning skills
• Excellent team player, effective communicator.
My professional experience might not be vast, but my enthusiasm and flair for teaching is. I hope my skills and experience are of interest to you. My CV is attached.
Many thanks in advance
Laura Plotnek
