I just happen to have updated the UK federation documentation for the
Shibboleth 2 IdP to include both the Tomcat and Apache httpd configs,
partly because these are FAQs and because of the gaps already noted in
the I2 docs:
http://www.ukfederation.org.uk/content/Documents/Setup2IdP
The Tomcat-only config is linked to from that page, but I'll give that
link here as well:
http://www.ukfederation.org.uk/content/Documents/Setup2IdPTomcat
There is some controversy about the method currently recommended on the
I2 page that Steve referred to, so our page recommends using an earlier
method that involves a modification to java.security
For the Apache httpd diehards here is the httpd config:
http://www.ukfederation.org.uk/content/Documents/Setup2IdPApacheHttpd
Cheers,
Sara
