Hi Marie:
Thanks for this. It seems that Jan 22 is deadline for just
abstracts...does not give deadline for proposals...do we normally submit
the abstracts then if successful submit the proposals. I am of course
referring to the Early Career Researcher AND Main Conference.
Cheer!
leRoy

Subject: proposals for BERA conference 2010
Hi all
A little something to think about. You still have time to submit a
proposal
to BERA. Details on
http://www.beraconference.co.uk/abstracts.html#submission
Why I suggest you have a go at putting in a proposal is that it
concentrates
the mind really well on imagined possibilities of how you will be
researching to improve your practice. The whole thing is a maximum of
1,000
words under the following headings:
* Title
* Background to the topic
* Research questions/focus of the enquiry
* Research methods and/or mapping of the literature
* Analytical and/or theoretical frame
* Research findings and/or contribution to knowledge
* References
Your submission goes to two reviewers. Sometimes you are lucky sometimes
not. You have nothing to loose - costs nothing to submit a proposal. If
it
is accepted you have until July/August to create your account. The down
side
is you have to pay to register for the conference to present it but the
upside is you get to meet other enthusiastic educators from various
settings, mainly universities, and from other countries as well as UK.
Have a go - if you dont fancy putting in a proposal for a paper why not
put
one in for a poster.
Looking forward to hearing how the new year is for you!
Smile on
Marie
