Dear FISH folk,

I’d like to invite you to participate in a session organised by the Institute for
Archaeologists Information Management Special Interest Group, ‘Where’s IT
Going’ held as part of the IfA conference in April 2010 at Southport.

We have set up a wiki page for the session which has the latest details. We
are organising this as a BarCamp rather than a formal session. We want you to
bring along the IT related projects you’re working on and suggestions for
topics you'd like to discuss. Attendees can divide up into small groups
interested in their chosen area e.g. museum systems, HERs etc, these
however will be fluid and you can just drop in and out of a group or the
session as a whole as you like. This is about participation rather than listening
to presentations and you can start participating now!

Step1
Visit the wiki at
 http://ifa-information-management-sig.wikispaces.com/IMSIG+Barcamp
and take a look at what's there

Step 2
Edit the wiki saying what you're going to bring to the session (no need to join
or sign in).

Step 3
Go to the participants page (link on the left) and sign up to attend.

It's that simple!

The session outline should grow organically from now until the conference.
Hopefully this will be very different to normal conference session and
something we'll all get a lot out of. This really is open to all from professional
software developers through to university projects, so please spread the word.

Best wishes

Edmund Lee
