Subject: Re: hanging solutions to exhibiting large drawings?
Hi Julie
I've exhibited larger drawings by stretching wires along the wall at the top and bottom of the paper and then using bulldog klips (removing the grips from them once they are on). It gives a very distinctive aesthetic but if it doesn't detract from the drawings it is fairly discreet. The wire requires vine eyes (rings) screwing into the wal at intervals to stopr the wire sagging and you can obviously use as many bulldog clips as neccessary, I found some rather small unpainted ones.
Hope you find a solution
Richard

Dear Members,
I'd like to pick your brains. I am currently working on large scale drawings 1m x 2m approx and am finding it hard to discover a secure and good looking method of exhibiting these. I have tried screwing them to the wall through eyelets in the corners but damage still occured as wind from the doorway gusted underneath and tore the edges.
I have read about perspex "sandwiches" but these are costly and tricky to transport if the exhibition is elsewhere in the country.
Does anyone have experience of this and any good solutions? -clips, pins, screws, batons, special frames, calligraphy scroll-type ideas..........???
All advice most gratefully received.
Julie Brixey-Williams
