SOS Medical Events & Conferences is pleased to announce the 2010 Global Domestic Violence Gathering in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 1-3, 2010. This conference is set to be the largest gathering of community groups, government and non-government agencies (NGO's) who are all devoted to highlighting and showcasing successful programs with the aim of empowering people and workers in the field of domestic violence. This event will bring together people from all walks of life coming from all corners of the world.
This gathering will look at such issues as research, community programs, governmental programs and the dissemination of information to the whole community with the aim of empowering individuals and communities to take action.
We wish to extend a special invitation to Indigenous groups from all over the Globe to come and participate in the Gathering in KL. At the 2010 event, we have also invited Indigenous groups from countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and East Timor. Many of these countries have strong and powerful leadership in the areas of control and prevention of domestic violence. These groups have developed superb initiatives both within their countries and in their Indigenous communities.
There are many programs running throughout the world that had started off as an individual idea which can work both at state and national level. This year’s conference is all about promoting these ideas which will be flagships to foster cooperation through empowering communities and individuals, whether it be indigenous or mainstream society, with great new global initiatives.
Guidelines for submissions are available at http://www.domesticviolenceconference.net
