Wanted: World War II Veterans' stories
Hi all, Liz Taylor from Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery here.
We are currently collecting the stories of Second World War veterans as
part of a big oral history project at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. We
are looking for people who would like to share your own experiences of the
Second World War, or those of a family member. We are aiming to record a
range of stories including army, navy and airforce; men and women; and
people from a range of cultural backgrounds. We are looking for people who
live in Birmingham or who have/had a connection with Birmingham. Filmed
interviews will become part of our permanent collection of oral history
testimonies at the Museum, and will be available in the future for
research, and for use in displays and exhibitions.
If you can help, if you know someone with a Birmingham connection who might
like to share their own stories, or the stories of a family member with us,
or know of other veterans projects based in the Midlands area, please
contact me, Liz Taylor, on [log in to unmask], 0121 303 0321.
Many thanks for any help you can give.
Best wishes
Liz
