Subject: Two conference announcements
Dear Norman
First of all, Happy New Year! Secondly a request, namely whether it
would be possible to announce to the BACS membership that two
international conferences are taking place. The first one is a
colloquium on Manchu history and religion being organised by the SOAS
History dept, with myself as the main port of call and SOAS as the
venue; the second a conference on Chinese economics, to be held in
Hong Kong.
Beneath the details of the latter; the programme of the former should
be attached to this message. Thanks in advance for alerting our
members!

PS: Would you be aware of a suitable contact at EACS?
PPS: I used to be BACS Honorary Secretary, about twelve years ago, but
in those days nobody sent me e-mails!
