Barry Buzan is Montague Burton Professor of International Relations at
London School of Economics and Political Science and a Fellow of the
British Academy. Since 1999 he has been the general coordinator of a
project to reconvene the English school of International Relations. Among
his recent books are: The United States and the Great Powers (2004); From
International to World Society? (2004); Does China Matter? A Reassessment
(2004) co-edited with Rosemary Foot; and International Society and the
Middle East (2009) co-edited with Ana Gonzalez-Pelaez and Non-Western
International Relations Theory (2009) co-edited with Amitav Acharya.
