A unique opportunity has arisen to help acquire, catalogue and disseminate
paper-based and born-digital archives from British artists and institutions
active after 1968. Tate Archive is part of the world’s largest repository of
British art from 1900, housed in the Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms at Tate
Britain.
You will have a degree and post-graduate qualification in Archive
Administration or equivalent and relevant subject knowledge in British art from
this period, as well as experience of acquiring, preserving and making more
widely accessible personal and/or institutional archives.
You will be joining a small, enthusiastic and friendly team of Archivists, all of
whom participate in the delivery of research services to Tate staff and
external researchers in the Reading Rooms at Tate Britain. You will, therefore,
have good communication and interpersonal skills with experience of delivering
excellent customer service.
