The Union of the Sisters of Mercy
ARCHIVIST
Following the resignation of the previous archivist to pursue research, we seek to appoint an Archivist to manage the Archives of the Union of the Sisters of Mercy.
This position is based at the Mercy Heritage Centre, Handsworth, Birmingham.
Salary: From £22,000 based on qualification and experience
Initial contract: 2 years
You will have:
an appropriate degree and postgraduate qualification;
good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
As archivist, you will be expected to uphold the values and spirit of the Sisters of Mercy and to co-ordinate the archival material and living story of our Convents in England, Scotland and Wales.
To accomplish this, flexible working hours will be required and a readiness to travel.
Professional Development will be encouraged.
