Dear Allstat,
All positions for the contributed papers at the PSI 2010 Conference have now been filled, but please do not be dismayed as we are still on the lookout for posters to be displayed at the Conference. And don't forget there are prizes available for the best posters...
We have extended the deadline for submitting abstracts for posters to Friday 5th March. This will guarantee your place in the Conference Brochure to advertise your poster in advance. If this is still a bit of a struggle, please do not panic - just get in touch and we will see what we can do. Poster submissions are likely to still be accepted after this date although you may not have your abstract included in the conference program.
Just as a reminder, the PSI Conference will be taking place at the Midland Hotel, Manchester, from 16 to 19 May 2010. Posters will be displayed throughout the conference this year and while we do encourage poster authors to be present at the conference during the formal poster session (scheduled for the Tuesday evening) as it allows the delegates a chance to discuss your ideas with you, it is not compulsory and your poster will be displayed on your behalf if you are not able to attend.
There are no specific themes for posters - the choice is yours! Past topics have included SAS/STAT and similar statistical computing topics, introducing new and updated statistical methodologies and software, pharmaceutical companies and CRO interaction, and hints and tips on improving your presentation skills. For more ideas you can look up past conference brochures on-line at http://www.psiweb.org
Our only specifications are that it is no larger than A0 in size and is applicable to statisticians and/or programmers working on clinical trials whether this is in the pharmaceutical industry, academia or the NHS.
If you are still interested in submitting a poster, please do not hesitate to contact Sharon Richards ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) or Caroline Warman ([log in to unmask]) for more information and/or to pass on your abstract.
For more information about the PSI conference itself, including a current up-to-date programme please go to http://www.psiweb.org/conference
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Kind Regards,
Jenny Butterworth
