There's always the HdA, Hanwoerterbuch des deutschen Aberglaubens. Perhaps a bit older, but it contains some of the best scholarship on charm research in the early 20th century. Jonathan Roper at the University of Sheffield is working with a special interest group in Charms and Charming in Europe, and might have some guidance to give.
