Hi!
In reply to Katie Giles' e-mail, here are our copying charges:
We charge a standard 20p per A4 and 30p per A3 sheet for photocopying,
more for printing from microfilm (40p and 60p). We adopted these prices last
year as our previous charges (15p and 20p per sheet for copying) had
remained the same for years.
We have not received any complaints - looking at other services, this seems a
fair price. To save staff time we do have certain standard charges. One
aspect of our collections is the RSC archive. We charge a standard fee of £45
for photocopies of whole prompt books, £30 for text-only copies. We also
have a standard fee of £15 for a selection of reviews, photos and programme
notes of a particular production. I would really recommend setting standard
fees if you have particular types of order that occur regularly. It means we
can quote a price at the outset without having to waste time counting pages
for an order that may never be placed. It also makes it easier in terms of
taking payment in advance if we are to post the copying on to a reader.
We have also found it better not to take deposits - readers either pay in
advance or leave credit card details.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes
