The first and second waves of feminism have run their course. Now, there
is a wide consensus that gender equality is instrumental for sustainable
development. Is anyone aware of efforts to focus the third wave on a
feminization of the sustainable development process?
For instance, is anyone aware of any initiative to provide feminine
input to programs of education for sustainable development? I think
this would be crucial for making further progress, but look at the
convention hall in *Copenhagen -- at least 95% male.* What do they know
about ecology? Very little -- but they do know what are the vested
interests to be protected ....
Goodness, we already know about the gender continuum, the damage done by
gender violence and other gender inequities, the need for taking human
sexuality into account for integral human development ... we also know
that there are both secular and religious vested interests trying to
dilute and sabotage green initiatives.
The "feminine genius" is urgently needed in education for sustainable
development, in developing best practices for sustainable developers ...
and, in becoming sustainable developers! Consider the following:

Section 3 is on the intersection between education for sustainable
development, integral human development, and the criticality of the
gender balance ingredient.
I invite responses ....
