Professor in Operational Research/Management Science at the University of Southampton, UK
The LANCS Initiative (see http://www.lancs-initiative.ac.uk<http://www.lancs-initiative.ac.uk/>) is a £13 million project to expand UK research capacity in the foundations of Operational Research (OR). LANCS is a collaboration between four of the leading OR research groups in the UK (Lancaster, Cardiff and Nottingham are joined with Southampton in the Initiative).
Applications are invited for the post of Professor in Operational Research/Management Science at the University of Southampton. This is a joint appointment between the Schools of Mathematics and Management supported by funding from the LANCS Initiative. We encourage strong candidates from any area of Operational Research/Management Science with research interests in developing new methodology and in applications to practical problems. Applications from candidates with expertise in stochastic modelling are especially welcome.
