Hi Debra
I think the University of Technology, Sydney was the first university to offer a Professional Doctorate in Midwifery - it has been running for about ten years. Several of us found it to be an excellent way to study our work and continue to practise, without having to focus on a discrete area of enquiry. I'm happy to provide you with more information if you want.
Nicky

Subject: professional doctorate
I am exploring the idea of a professional doctorate in Midwifery practice. Is anyone familiar with / or has experience of this form of study ?
