ONLINE Graduate Level Courses in Disability and Diversity Studies at University of Hawaii: Announcement for Spring, 2010
These courses are offered entirely online via Elluminate Live and other online tools. The courses are open to graduate level students. Students not admitted into a program at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa can register through the Outreach College. www.outreach.hawaii.edu/. (Please note there is a slight delay in registration via Outreach). 1. Disability Studies (DIS) 687: Advanced Seminar in Disability and Diversity Studies
A graduate level seminar offering in-depth explorations of compelling topics related to the social, political, and economic integration of individuals with disabilities of all ages, their families and allies and professionals working in the field. Students will work in collaboration with faculty mentors to research, develop and teach a module on a topic of their interest in disability and diversity studies.

2. Disability Studies 684 (DIS 684) Interdisciplinary Team Development
The course is designed for students to develop knowledge and skills to participate effectively on interdisciplinary teams for the common goal of promoting service integration and coordination of education, social, health, mental health, and other services with individuals with disabilities and their families.
