Hi Folks
I'm looking for pointers to metadata models, schema, best practices
for describing and cataloging 3D assets in virtual worlds (e.g., 3D
models of cars, airplanes, buildings, ...). I'm looking for
something that would describe the generic cataloging like DC elements,
plus specifics like the technical characteristics of the model, e.g.,
what representation, the complexity [number of facets], the shading
model, the texture model, the lighting model, ...).
Any suggestions would be welcome (the ultimate goal is to build an
open repository of 3D assets that can be used to build virtual worlds
in education).
