Thanks Jeff. As David indicated, there were seperate ENCAs for radio and television during the 1950s. By 1965, was Edwards the sole ENCA? Would he have been invovled in both English by Radio and Make Yourself at Home?

Jeff and others,
I'm finding conflicting information about whom the Director of Empire
Services was in 1936, as compared to 1938. Did J.B. Clark serve during
both years?

And of course the term Scotland region rather than as now nations and
regions is indicative of a london centric mindset which is slowly
disappearing.
Once Scotland is again an independent nation, we can but hope that the
BBC will still exist - albeit with a revised governance structure

I can help with one name, Peter Thompson, who was head of
outside broadcasts for many years through the 50s and 60s at BBC
Scotland - although in 1951 he might have held a slightly lower
position.
Hope this helps.

Everyone,
It's me again, attempting to indentify a few names within my
notes.
Please see the attached memo. While I surely know who Goldie,
Noordhof, Kennish and Swallow are, I'm unclear on the others, and their
significance.
Can anyone help, please?
Oh, how I wish the BBC would digitize its staff listings....
