'Third Party Funding For Business Collections'
The Business Records Group of the Society of Archivists is running a one-day
event at the Rothschild Archive, London on Tuesday 23 February 2010 (10am-
4pm).
The event will highlight the funding opportunities available for cataloguing and
exploiting business collections. The event is aimed at all Archivists who care
for business collections and the day will include a mixture of presentations and
interactive sessions.
Programme:
10.00-10.15 Welcome (Refreshments served on arrival)
10.15-11.15 Applying for Heritage Lottery Funding (1 hour interactive
session) - Louise Ray
11.15-11.55 Case Study: Learning Links - Laura Dixon, British Postal Museum
and Archive
11.55-12.35 Case Study: Penmaenmawr Quarry Historic Records - Susan Ellis,
Conwy Archive
12.35-13.35 Break For Lunch (lunch is not provided)
13.35-14.10 Applying for The National Archives Cataloguing Grant Schemes -
Melinda Haunton
14.10-14.50 Case Study: G King & Son, lead glaziers and stained glass
conservators - Lucy Purvis, Norfolk Record Office
14.50-15.10 Refreshments
15.10-15.50 Case Study: British Steel Project - Dr Joan Heggie
The event costs £35 for members of the Society of Archivists and £45 for non
members.
