a term both for records managers and archivists: simply, archivists
(albeit deriving towards something similar to recordkeepers). I wonder
if a British-speaking countries schizophrenia triggered by Schellenberg:
records are records, irrespective their age, origin, etc.
It's serious, really. If introduced as an archivist, everybody thinks I
carefully look after old relics for exhibitions. If as a records
manager, everybody wants my opinion about e-government. We are
archivists with a diversity of skills and specialities, but all of us
work with records (Medieval, electronic, oral, records, after all).
