Dear Nick,
I am writing from a public computer and so do not have access to my CV.
However, I can summarise it as follows.
Academic:
MMath - First Class (Open University, 2004);
BA(Hons) Mathematical Sciences - First Class (Open University, 2000);
BSc(Hons) Physical Electronic Engineering with Professional Studies -
Upper Second Class (Lancaster University, 1987);
I am also one course away from graduating with another Open Universiy
degree, a First Class BSc(Hons) in Physical Sciences, in 2010;
Four A-levels (Maths grade A with Distinction, Further Maths grade A,
Physics grade B, Chemistry grade B);
Eleven O-levels;
My IQ is 155 according to Mensa (by definition, the average is 100).
Professional:
FCA - Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and
Wales (formerly just ACA, qualified May 1993).
Work experience:
Currently preparation of accounts of very small companies and the
associated corporation tax computations, both using IRIS software.
Other:
I used Minitab and Matlab in a couple of my OU courses and also a little
SQL. I have also done three specifically computing courses as part of my
OU studies.
Further details:
After sixteen years as a Chartered Accountant, I do not seem to be able to
get myself off the first rung of the ladder up to the second. I would very
much like to be able to use my aptitude for Maths (only simple arithmetic
comes into Accountancy) and would be interested to hear what you have to
offer or suggest.
Kind regards,
Peter Fletcher.
