Here are details of the next meeting of the Glasgow Group
of the Royal Statistical Society.
Stephen Senn. Control and inference in clinical trials
The key feature of modern clinical trials is concurrent control.
Various real examples will be examined.
I consider to what extent concurrent control is valuable and under what circumstances one can do better.
Some Bayesian proposals for using historical information will be discussed.
