Hi Linda,
A few thoughts for your consideration;
I think I'd start with the annual medical required to drive a car when over the age of 65 ?70.
I'm not sure what is involved - but will be able to tell you in a few years !!
Stamina / fatigue - what about a Harvard Step test and then do the pulse rates etc. Perhaps some VO2Max calculations.
Also a test actually on the footplate of the train - most male OHPs would love the opportunity to do that !!
OwenD :-)

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Advice regarding fitness to drive
Hello everyone
I am involved with a heritage museum and we are looking at fitness to drive
historic trains and trams for people over 65 years. The question of driving
over 75 is now on the agenda.
Does anyone have a tool to assess 1. stamina, 2. fatigue and 3. cognitive
ability or any idea where I can find this information.
Regards
Lynda
PS Happy Christmas everyone
