Hello Kate,
The Black Country Museum has 2 ranges displayed: one dating from 1926-30, which has been converted from coal to gas, and a larger gas range in our new fish and chip shop. I can send further info or photos if you want to know more.
Best wishes,
Jo.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am trying to trace any coal fired or tiled fish and chip fryers that may be around the country as part of a survey. We have a tiled one, converted from coal to gas and simple coal one in the collection here. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who know of one of these gems either in a collection or even in use!
Thank you,
Kate
