Hi Kate,
We have a tiled fish and chip fryer on display here at Portland Basin Museum (we're a few miles east of Manchester). It was made by Faulkner and Co of Manchester - I've attached a photo.
Best wishes
Rachel

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am trying to trace any coal fired or tiled fish and chip fryers that may be around the country as part of a survey. We have a tiled one, converted from coal to gas and simple coal one in the collection here. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who know of one of these gems either in a collection or even in use!
Thank you,
Kate
