Hi Kate
We have one in our collections here at Bolton Museum. It is a coal fired fish and chip range, from a shop at 282 Blackburn Road in Egerton, North Bolton. The iron range itself was made by C C Walton of Bolton, the glazed white brickwork was made by Place & Sons of Darwin. It was last used in the 1940's. The range is dismantled and in our offsite store at present, but we have photos taken of it in situ prior to removal. Let me know if you would like copies.
Cheers, Ben

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am trying to trace any coal fired or tiled fish and chip fryers that may be around the country as part of a survey. We have a tiled one, converted from coal to gas and simple coal one in the collection here. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who know of one of these gems either in a collection or even in use!
Thank you,
Kate
